About the Platform
SriLankaExport.com is a dedicated B2B marketplace connecting international buyers with verified Sri Lankan exporters and manufacturers. It is not a general Asian trade directory — every product on the platform must originate from Sri Lanka.
Buyers use the platform to browse products, compare suppliers, review certifications, and place bulk orders directly with exporters. Exporters use it to reach buyers in 80+ countries without paying broker commissions.
The platform is designed for:
- International buyers — importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers sourcing Sri Lankan products in bulk
- Sri Lankan exporters and manufacturers — registered businesses seeking international buyers
- Procurement managers — at multinational companies evaluating Sri Lanka supply chain diversification
No. SriLankaExport.com is a direct marketplace — we provide the platform and trade infrastructure, but we do not act as a broker, agent, or intermediary between buyers and exporters. All transactions are between the buyer and the exporter directly.
We do not charge commission on transactions. Our revenue model is based on exporter subscriptions and premium listing features.
For Buyers
Browse products by category, or search by keyword or product type. Each product listing shows:
- Supplier verification status (EDB-registered suppliers display a Verified Exporter badge)
- Available grades, specifications, and certifications
- Bulk pricing tiers and minimum order quantities (MOQ)
- Lead time and shipping information
Visit the supplier’s store profile for their full product range, certification documents, and business details before making contact.
For standard orders: add products to your cart and proceed through checkout. Bulk pricing tiers are applied automatically based on quantity.
For larger or custom orders: use the “Request Quote” option on the product page to send your specifications directly to the exporter. They will respond with a tailored quote within 48 hours.
All products are Sri Lankan in origin. Current categories include:
- Tea & Spices — Ceylon black/green/white tea, cinnamon (Alba grade), black pepper, cardamom, moringa
- தென்னை தயாரிப்புகள் — Virgin coconut oil, desiccated coconut, coconut milk powder, coir

- Seafood — yellowfin tuna, prawns, dried fish

- Stripe — credit/debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) — PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant
- Bank transfer (TT/SWIFT) — for larger orders, coordinated directly with the exporter
- Letter of Credit (LC) — for high-value or recurring commercial orders
- Escrow — available for first-time buyer-exporter transactions on request
Shipping is arranged between the buyer and exporter based on agreed Incoterms:
- Air Freight — for urgent or sample orders (2–5 days from Colombo)
- Sea Freight FCL/LCL — for bulk container orders (15–35 days depending on destination)
- Courier — DHL/FedEx for small commercial samples
Common Incoterms: FOB Colombo, CIF destination port, EXW exporter premises, DAP buyer’s warehouse. Specific terms are negotiated at the order stage.
Yes. Most exporters on the platform offer sample orders — typically 1–5 kg for agri-products or a single unit for manufactured goods. Samples are priced at or near cost and shipped via DHL or FedEx. Use the “Request Sample” option on the product page or contact the exporter directly through the messaging system.
For Exporters & Vendors
Register as a vendor at srilankaexport.com/vendor-register/. After your account is approved and verification is complete, log in to your vendor dashboard and use “Add Product” to create listings.
Each listing should include: product description, available grades/variants, bulk pricing tiers, MOQ, lead time, shipping terms, and any certifications. Products go live after a brief review.
Basic vendor registration and product listing is free. Premium features — including featured product placement, priority listing, and enhanced store profiles — are available at an additional cost.
There are no transaction commissions. You keep 100% of each sale.
Verification confirms that your business is a legitimate Sri Lankan exporter. We check:
- EDB Registration — confirmed against Export Development Board records
- Business Registration — verified with the Registrar of Companies
- Export History — active international shipment records reviewed
- Certifications — ISO, Organic, Fairtrade, and other documents validated
Verification typically takes 3–5 business days. Exporters who pass receive the Verified Exporter badge, which is displayed on all product listings and their store profile.

Support & Disputes
We encourage direct resolution between buyer and exporter as the first step. If direct communication fails, SriLankaExport.com offers mediation support for verified transaction disputes. In cases of confirmed fraud, the relevant account is suspended and appropriate authorities notified.
Yes. The platform uses SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant. We do not store card data on our servers. Business and contact information is not shared with third parties outside the platform.
