Sri Lankan beekeepers produce bee honey from the island’s forests, plantations and home gardens, and it sells in Sri Lanka as a food and a traditional ingredient. Export volumes are small, so supply is confirmed for each order. This listing is bee honey; it is different from kithul treacle and coconut syrup, which our other listings cover.

Can your market import it?

Many markets only accept honey from approved countries with a residue monitoring plan. The European Union, for example, keeps a list of third countries allowed to export honey to it. We check whether your market accepts honey from Sri Lanka before we quote, and tell you plainly if it does not.

Testing

Honey is tested for moisture, HMF (freshness), sugar profile and residues, and buyers increasingly test for adulteration. Tests can be arranged on the lot before shipment.

Private label

Retail packs can carry your brand. Send us your artwork, pack size and labelling requirements for your market, and we confirm packing options, minimum order and lead time with the quote. You remain responsible for the label claims made in your market.

Packing and shipping

Orders are packed to your instruction and shipped by sea in a full or shared container, or by air for samples and small lots, quoted FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF to your port. Products from several Sri Lankan suppliers can share one container through our consolidation service.
