SriLankaExport.com is owned and operated by Harker International (Private) Limited, registered in Sri Lanka and based in Kandy. We work in two directions. We source goods from Sri Lanka for overseas buyers, and we take Sri Lankan producers to buyers abroad.

What we do

Sourcing for buyers

A buyer sends a requirement. We take it to Sri Lankan producers, price it, and come back with a firm offer on FOB Colombo, CFR, CIF or other Incoterms, as the buyer prefers.

A marketplace for exporters

Sri Lankan producers list what they make, see live buyer requirements, and quote against them through their own store page.

Presence on the ground

We can telephone a mill, drive to it, and photograph what is on the pallet before anybody ships it. That is the part a buyer overseas cannot do.

Ceylon cinnamon by grade, black pepper, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg and mace

Scope, stated plainly

We are not a government body.

We are an independent private company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board or any other government agency.

We are not a payment service.

We hold no financial license and we do not operate escrow or hold funds on behalf of a counterparty. Settlement is by ordinary commercial bank transfer.

We do not certify goods.

Certificates are issued to the producer by the certifying body and we pass them on as they were given to us. Independent inspection is commissioned from SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek, all of which operate in Sri Lanka.
