Common questions

Is this a real app from the App Store / Play Store?

No, and that's a feature. It's a Progressive Web App (PWA) — modern browsers let you install our site as if it were an app, without going through Apple or Google's app stores. Updates are automatic, no manual app updates ever.

What's "low-data mode" and how do I turn it on?

For buyers and suppliers on slow or expensive mobile data, low-data mode skips the web fonts and heavy hero images. Once installed, tap Low-data mode in the top bar — it saves about 55KB on every page load and stays on until you toggle it back.

Will it use up storage on my phone?

A few megabytes at most. The installed PWA caches your most-visited pages and the site shell so they load instantly on repeat visits. Uninstalling is the same as removing any app icon — long-press, then remove.

Does it work offline?

For pages you've already visited, yes — the homepage, industry landing pages, and the navigation shell are cached for offline browsing. Live actions like placing an order, contacting a supplier, or accessing your vendor dashboard still require an internet connection.

I'm on a desktop / laptop — can I install too?

Yes. In Chrome or Edge on Windows, macOS, or Linux, look for the install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down-arrow), or open the three-dot menu and choose Install SriLankaExport. The app opens in its own window and lives in your dock or taskbar.
