Description
Key attributes
Fannings grade, finer in particle than BOPF. Brews fast and strong, which is what makes it a blending and teabag tea rather than a leaf tea. Available for immediate shipment.
How to buy: order a 60 g sample online to judge the grade in your own hands. For bulk, request a quote with your grade, quantity and destination; we confirm a firm price, packing, lead time and validity in writing.
Where PF sits in the grades
Ceylon black tea is sorted by particle size. Leaf grades such as OP and Pekoe are the largest. Broken grades such as BOP come next. Fannings, including BOPF and PF, are smaller again, and dust grades are the smallest. Smaller particles give more colour and strength in a short brew, which is why fannings fill most teabags.
