Description

Vanilla beans grown in Sri Lanka and cured by the traditional method of sun-drying and hand-curing.

About cured vanilla

Green vanilla beans have no aroma. Curing develops it. The beans are sweated, dried in the sun and conditioned by hand over several weeks until they turn dark brown and flexible. Buyers usually judge beans by length, moisture, colour and whether they split.

Quality and documents

Each lot can be tested by an independent laboratory before shipment. Export documents are arranged with the shipment.

Samples and lead time

Samples are available before an order. Price, minimum order and lead time are confirmed with the quotation.

Tell us if you need split beans or cuts for extraction, since these are often sold separately from whole beans. Beans should be stored sealed, in a cool, dark place, and not in a refrigerator.

Which documents come with the shipment?

Every export shipment carries a certificate of origin. Ask the desk which other certificates your country requires.

Can I check quality before a bulk order?

Yes. Start with a sample or trial lot. We can also arrange a pre-shipment inspection or an independent lab test for any order.

How do I pay?

You agree payment terms directly with the exporter on the quote, and pay the exporter. Larger orders are usually paid by letter of credit.
