Description
Certified organic Ceylon black tea in three broken grades, BOP, BOPF and Dust, sold in bulk from 250 kg with a firm FOB Colombo price for each grade. It is grown and made in Sri Lanka on organically managed land and packed in 50 kg bags for blenders, tea bag packers, importers and private label brands.

US dollars per kg, FOB Colombo, at the quantity shown and above. Each grade is priced on its own, so a 500 kg lot of BOP is US$7,625. We confirm the price, lead time and validity in writing before you pay.
The grades
- BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe): a broken leaf that brews a strong, bright cup, for loose-leaf retail and breakfast blends.
- BOPF (Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings): smaller particles that infuse quickly, the usual grade for tea bags.
- Dust: the finest grade, for fast-brewing tea bags and food service.
Organic certification
Certified organic lots (USDA NOP / EU, certificate copy with your quote). The certificate holder issues an organic transaction certificate for each shipment. If your market needs another scheme, such as JAS, tell us and we confirm whether a lot is covered before you order.
Samples
Order a 2 oz (60 g) sample of any grade online for US$7 and judge the leaf and the liquor yourself. Samples ship from Sri Lanka by SL Post tracked airmail.

Yes. Start with a sample or trial lot. We can also arrange a pre-shipment inspection or an independent lab test for any order.
How do I pay safely?
First and trial orders of about USD 2,000 to 20,000 can be paid through Escrow.com, which releases the money only after you accept the goods. Larger orders are paid by letter of credit.
