Freeze-drying removes water from frozen fruit under vacuum, so the fruit keeps its shape, colour and much of its flavour and turns light and crunchy. It costs more than ordinary drying, and freeze-dried fruit sells at a premium in snacks, cereals and baking.

Fruits

Capacity

Freeze-drying capacity in Sri Lanka is smaller than conventional drying, so volumes and lead times are confirmed with each quote, and we will tell you plainly if a volume is beyond what local plants can supply.

Packing

Freeze-dried fruit takes up moisture quickly, so it is packed in moisture-barrier bags or pouches.

Private label

Retail packs can carry your brand. Send us your artwork, pack size and labelling requirements for your market, and we confirm packing options, minimum order and lead time with the quote. You remain responsible for the label claims made in your market.

Orders are packed to your instruction and shipped by sea in a full or shared container, or by air for samples and small lots, quoted FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF to your port. Products from several Sri Lankan suppliers can share one container through our consolidation service.
