Description
Coir pots are molded from coconut husk fiber bonded with natural rubber latex. They hold their shape in the nursery, let roots grow through the walls and can be planted straight into the ground, so growers avoid both plastic waste and transplant shock. Sri Lanka has made coir products for well over a century and supplies coir fiber and growing media worldwide.
Products
- Round and square nursery pots
- Seedling trays
- Hanging basket liners
- Custom sizes for large orders
What to check
How long a pot holds together depends on the fiber density and latex content. Tell us how long the plant stays in the pot, and we match the grade. Coir is a plant product, so most importing countries ask for a phytosanitary certificate, which we arrange.
Who buys it
Nurseries, garden centers, landscapers and garden retailers replacing plastic pots. Pots nest, so they ship efficiently and pair well with coco peat and grow bags in the same container.
What to tell us for a quote
- The product, grade or specification you need, and a reference sample if you have one
- Quantity per order and how often you buy
- Pack size, packaging and labeling
- Destination port and the Incoterm you prefer
- Documents your market requires, such as a certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate or lab test reports
Packing and shipping
Orders are packed to your instruction and shipped by sea in a full or shared container, or by air for samples and small lots, quoted FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF to your port. Products from several Sri Lankan suppliers can share one container through our consolidation service.
How to get a price: tell us the quantity, your specification and your destination port. We quote FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF, with lead time and minimum order, and arrange samples before an order.
