Sri Lanka is one of the world’s main glove-making countries, and gloves are among its largest exports. Its factories make both natural latex and nitrile gloves. Nitrile is a synthetic rubber, so these gloves contain no natural latex protein, and many clinics, laboratories, food businesses and cleaning firms choose them for that reason.

Standards and approvals

Medical examination gloves are a regulated product in most markets. Europe uses EN 455 and the Medical Devices Regulation, and the United States expects ASTM D6319 and FDA clearance for medical use. Gloves for chemical or food handling have their own standards, such as EN ISO 374 and food-contact rules. Tell us your market and use, and we confirm which certificates and test reports come with the lot before you order. Do not assume a glove is approved for your market until you have seen its documents.

We send sample boxes before an order so you can check fit, feel and thickness against your requirements.

Private label

Retail packs can carry your brand. Send us your artwork, pack size and labelling requirements for your market, and we confirm packing options, minimum order and lead time with the quote. You remain responsible for the label claims made in your market.

Packing and shipping

Orders are packed to your instruction and shipped by sea in a full or shared container, or by air for samples and small lots, quoted FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF to your port. Products from several Sri Lankan suppliers can share one container through our consolidation service.
