Choosing a form
Whole and split ginger keep their aroma longest and let you grind close to use. Slices dry evenly and suit tea blends and infusions. Powder is ready for blending but loses volatile oil faster, so buyers often set a shelf life or packing requirement for it. Unbleached ginger is the usual form for food use. Some markets also trade limed or bleached ginger, so state which you want.
Quality and documents
Common checks are moisture, total ash, acid insoluble ash, volatile oil, and microbial counts for powder. Many importers also ask for pesticide residue and aflatoxin results. Export documents are arranged with the shipment.
Samples and lead time
Samples are arranged before an order. Price, minimum order and lead time are confirmed with the quotation.
