Description

Sri Lankan woodworkers make spoons, spatulas and boards from plantation teak and from rubberwood, the timber left when rubber estates replant. The pieces are cut, carved and sanded by hand and finished with a food-safe oil, so each one carries a slightly different grain.

Food contact and import rules

Utensils are finished with food-safe oil, and we can confirm the finish declaration for your market with the quote. Solid wood products often need heat treatment or fumigation and a phytosanitary certificate; we arrange the export documents. Moisture is checked before packing to limit cracking in dry climates.
