The four sub-grades

• BP1 (Broken Pekoe One): the largest CTC granule, a strong, bright cup for loose retail tea and blends
• PF1 (Pekoe Fannings One): a smaller granule that brews fast, widely used in tea bags
• PD (Pekoe Dust): finer again, for strong, quick-brewing tea bags
• Dust: the smallest particle, for catering blends, tea bags and instant tea
