Description

Sri Lankan food processors make the condiments that go with rice and curry: lime and mixed pickles, seeni sambol (caramelised onion relish), mango and date chutneys, curry pastes and moju, plus pineapple and other tropical fruit jams. They sell under their own brands and pack for private label.

What to include in your request

  • Your own label or the maker’s brand
  • Ingredient, allergen and labelling rules for your market

How to get a price: tell us the quantity, your specification and your destination port. We quote FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF, with lead time and minimum order, and arrange samples before an order.

Product notes

  • Seeni sambol: onions cooked slowly with chilli, spices and sugar until dark and sticky. Sweet, hot and savoury.
  • Moju: a sweet and sour pickle, often of eggplant or shallots, with mustard and vinegar.
  • Lime pickle: lime cured with salt and spices. Sharp and salty, served in small amounts.
  • Curry pastes: ground spice mixes ready for cooking, sold to retail and food service.

These products sell to Sri Lankan and South Asian grocers, and to mainstream shops with an Asian food range.

Quality and documents

Each lot can be tested by an independent laboratory before shipment. Send us the label rules for your market and we check the ingredient and allergen list with the maker before printing. Export documents are arranged with the shipment.
