Global Certifications & Standards
Products on SriLankaExport.com are listed by Sri Lankan vendors whose submitted business and product documents have been reviewed by our marketplace team during onboarding. Certification scope, validity, and applicability differ by product, vendor, destination market, and buyer requirement. Buyers should verify final documents with the issuing body or importer of record before relying on them.
Certifications Our Vendors May Claim
Where a vendor claims a certification, we require supporting evidence before displaying that claim. Certificate availability depends on vendor, product line, certificate scope, and current validity. Buyers should verify final documents with the issuing body or importer of record before shipment.
ISO 9001:2015
Quality Management Systems certification, held by selected manufacturing partners where applicable. Certificate scope and validity should be verified per vendor or facility.
ISO 22000 & HACCP
Food safety management commonly requested for food exporters and international buyer due diligence. Import requirements vary by product category and destination country.
USDA Organic / EU Organic
Certified organic production chain for tea, coconut oil, spices, and herbs.
Fairtrade International
Ethical sourcing certification, common across our tea and spice estates.
Halal Certification
Halal compliance for food products destined for Middle East and Southeast Asian markets.
Sri Lanka Standards (SLS)
SLSI mark, the national quality standard from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.
Sri Lanka Tea Board Lion Logo
May apply only where the vendor or product is properly licensed or authorized by the Sri Lanka Tea Board. Buyers should verify product-level eligibility and current authorization.
Pure Ceylon Cinnamon GI
May apply only to eligible cinnamon products that meet the relevant GI / product specification and documentation requirements. Verify per supplier and shipment.
EDB Registration / Directory Listing, Where Applicable
EDB registration or directory listing may be reviewed as part of our vendor onboarding process where relevant. EDB registration / listing is maintained by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board and is not issued, controlled, or endorsed by SriLankaExport.com. A vendor’s EDB listing does not mean EDB endorsement of this platform or the vendor’s products. The previous mandatory EDB Registration of Exporters scheme was revoked by Gazette No. 2118/60 (April 11, 2019); current EDB registration is voluntary.
Find Suppliers Who Already Hold a Certificate
Our exporter directory tracks which Sri Lankan companies hold USDA organic, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, FSSC 22000, halal and GOTS certification, plus the government export registers, each checked against the scheme’s own public register. Every supplier profile links to that register so you can verify the certificate yourself.
Need Certificate Copies?
We can request certificate copies or certified copies from the relevant vendor where available. Buyers should verify final documents with the issuing authority, customs broker, or importer of record before shipment.
