Your buyers. Our desk in Sri Lanka.
For trade agents, brokers and sourcing consultants. You keep the relationship with your buyer. We find the supplier, arrange samples and testing, and put a written price in your hands.
How an introduction flows
The Sri Lanka side, handled
The hard part of selling Sri Lankan goods abroad is on the ground here. That is the part we do.
Find the supplier
We ask producers for the grade, packing and quantity your buyer wants, and compare what comes back.
Written price
One clear price with the basis (FOB or delivered), a validity date and payment terms.
Samples and testing
Samples before any order, and independent laboratory testing when your buyer needs a report.
Shipment and documents
Packing, export paperwork and shipping documents, coordinated from Sri Lanka.
Choose the route that fits each buyer
You can use a different route for every buyer. Tell us which one when you send the enquiry.
You buy from us and resell
We quote you. You set your own price and invoice your buyer yourself.
- No agreement needed. Send an enquiry and we quote.
- Your buyer’s name never has to reach us.
- You pay us on our normal terms, usually half in advance and the balance against shipping documents.
Best for trading companies and exporters with their own buyers and invoicing.
We contract with your buyer and pay you a fee
You introduce the buyer. We quote, contract and ship to them, and pay you on every order they pay for.
- A short written introducer agreement, signed before we quote.
- Your fee is agreed in writing before the quotation goes out.
- You earn on that buyer’s paid orders for 12 months.
Best for agents and consultants who would rather earn a fee than handle the trade and the payments.
| Route A | Route B | |
|---|---|---|
| Who invoices the buyer | You | We do |
| How you earn | Your own markup on our price | An introduction fee, agreed per buyer |
| Paperwork | None to start | One-page introducer agreement |
| Who handles payments | You pay us; your buyer pays you | Your buyer pays us; we pay you |
| When you are paid | When your buyer pays you | After the buyer’s final payment clears |
From enquiry to shipment in four steps
Send the enquiry
Product, grade, quantity, packing and destination port. For Route B, the buyer’s company, country and contact.
We source and price
Our desk asks producers and returns a written price, validity date and payment terms.
Samples and testing
Samples first, and independent laboratory testing when your buyer needs it.
Order and shipment
Money arrives before goods move. On Route B, your fee follows the buyer’s final payment.
Clear rules, the same for everyone
They protect you, your buyer and our suppliers.
Sri Lanka’s strongest export lines
Mainly spices, tea, coconut products and food ingredients. Ask about anything else before promising it to a buyer.

What introducers ask us
Anything else, ask in your application.
Is there a fee to apply?
No. Applying is free, and Route A needs no agreement at all.
How much is the introduction fee on Route B?
It depends on the product and the size of the order, and it is agreed in writing for each buyer before we send the quotation. On Route A there is no fee: you earn the difference between our price and yours.
I am based in Sri Lanka. Can I join?
Yes. Many of our introducers work from Sri Lanka and bring buyers from abroad. Fees are paid in rupees to a Sri Lankan bank account in your own name. You cannot be employed by, or paid by, a producer we buy from for that order, and you cannot be related to our staff.
Can I introduce a supplier instead of a buyer?
The introducer fee is for buyers. If you know a good Sri Lankan producer, they can list their products on SriLankaExport.com for free through our seller registration.
Do I need to be a registered company?
No. Individuals can introduce buyers. Before paying any fee we ask for identification and a bank account in your own name, and tax is withheld where Sri Lankan law requires.
What does the buyer need on their side?
An import licence where their country requires one, for example a Safe Food for Canadians licence in Canada or FDA food facility registration for the United States. The buyer’s own import rules are the buyer’s responsibility.
Can my buyer inspect the goods?
Yes. Buyers can ask for independent testing or a pre-shipment inspection, and we arrange access. We do not share producer identities.
Become a Trade Introducer
It takes about two minutes. There is no fee to apply.
- We review your application and reply by email.
- Send us a buyer’s requirement whenever you have one. Route A can start straight away.
- For Route B, we register the buyer and sign the one-page agreement before we quote.
