Sri Lanka grows several bamboo species, and craft workshops turn it into finished goods. Our bamboo poles and split strips listings supply raw bamboo; this listing covers finished products for homes, hotels and shops.

Products

• Roll-up and roman blinds
• Kitchenware: trays, bowls, utensils, serving boards
• Lamps and light shades
• Small furniture and shelving

Treatment and paperwork

Bamboo must be treated and dried so it does not crack or carry insects. Bamboo goods are plant products, and some countries require fumigation or a phytosanitary certificate. Check your country’s rules before ordering; we supply the export documents.

Made to your design

Workshops can make items from your drawings or samples, and the price depends on the work involved.

Who buys it

Home and kitchen stores, interior designers, hotels, resorts and restaurants that want natural materials, and online sellers. Because the goods are handmade in small workshops, colour and size can vary slightly between pieces, and volumes per item are confirmed with the quote.

What to tell us for a quote

• The product, grade or specification you need, and a reference sample if you have one
• Quantity per order and how often you buy
• Pack size, packaging and labelling
• Destination port and the Incoterm you prefer
• Documents your market requires, such as a certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate or lab test reports

Packing and shipping

Orders are packed to your instruction and shipped by sea in a full or shared container, or by air for samples and small lots, quoted FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF to your port. Products from several Sri Lankan suppliers can share one container through our consolidation service.

How to get a price: tell us the quantity, your specification and your destination port. We quote FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF, with lead time and minimum order, and arrange samples before an order.
