Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners are built on rice flour: string hoppers (idiyappam), hoppers (appa), pittu and roti. Sri Lankan grocers abroad stock these flours for the diaspora. Rice and millet flours and mixes exported about US$5 million in 2025.

How is it packed?

Which trade terms do you quote?
FOB Colombo; CFR; CIF. Freight is quoted per shipment for your quantity and destination.
Which documents come with the shipment?
Every export shipment carries a certificate of origin. Ask the desk which other certificates your country requires.
Can I check quality before a bulk order?
Yes. Start with a sample or trial lot. We can also arrange a pre-shipment inspection or an independent lab test for any order.
How do I pay safely?
First and trial orders of about USD 2,000 to 20,000 can be paid through Escrow.com, which releases the money only after you accept the goods. Larger orders are paid by letter of credit.
