Description

Sri Lanka has exported freshwater ornamental fish for the aquarium trade for decades. Its farms breed guppies, mollies, platies, swordtails, gouramis, barbs and other freshwater species, and some also supply aquarium plants. We buy from licensed Sri Lankan farms and export houses and ship to you under our own export licence and paperwork.

What to include in your request

  • Your species list, with strains or colour varieties and sizes
  • Quantity per species, or a mixed box
  • Destination airport and how often you order
  • Any health certificate or documents your import permit requires

Live fish have extra rules. Each shipment needs the exporter’s NAQDA registration and a health certificate, some species need a CITES permit, and some cannot be exported from Sri Lanka at all. We check every species on your list before we quote. Fish travel by air in oxygenated bags, so we confirm flights with the quote, and dead-on-arrival terms are agreed before you order.

How to get a price: send your species list and destination airport. We quote per fish or per box, with minimum order and lead time.

Can I check quality before a bulk order?

Yes. Start with a sample or trial lot. We can also arrange a pre-shipment inspection or an independent lab test for any order.

How do I pay safely?

First and trial orders of about USD 2,000 to 20,000 can be paid through Escrow.com, which releases the money only after you accept the goods. Larger orders are paid by letter of credit.
