Long, twisted, early-plucked leaf. Brisker and more full-bodied than the pellet grades, and a common choice where green tea is drunk strong.

How to buy: order a 60 g sample online to judge the grade in your own hands. For bulk, request a quote with your grade, quantity and destination; we confirm a firm price, packing, lead time and validity in writing.

About Young Hyson

Young Hyson is a traditional green tea style made from young leaf rolled into long, twisted strands. It is not a pellet grade like Gunpowder. The liquor is pale yellow to green, and the taste is fuller than a light green tea. It is used in straight green teas, flavoured green tea blends and tea bags.
