Description

Ceylon white tea is among the most prized teas in the world. Produced only from the youngest unopened buds and top two leaves, it is minimally processed, no rolling, no oxidation, preserving the tea’s natural silver-white tips and delicate floral character.

Grades Available

  • Silver Tips: Unrolled buds only. Premium grade for luxury retail.
  • White Pekoe: Bud + one leaf. Excellent for specialty blending.

Bulk Packaging

  • MOQ: 10 kg
  • 500 kg, 1,000 kg, and 5,000 kg available.
  • Custom packaging in foil-lined bags or tins available for retail brands.

Silver Tips or White Pekoe

Silver Tips are unopened buds only, with a pale, delicate cup. They are the grade for luxury retail tins and gift packs. White Pekoe includes the bud and one leaf. It gives a little more body and is often used in specialty blends.

What to tell us for a quote

  • Grade and quantity, from 100 kg (four 25 kg sacks)
  • Organic or conventional, and single-estate if you need it
  • Bulk sacks, or foil-lined bags or tins for your own brand
  • Destination port, FOB Colombo or CIF

Samples and lead time

We send samples before an order so you can taste the lot you are buying. Lead time is 4 to 6 weeks. Certificate of origin and phytosanitary documents are arranged with the shipment.

How long does a bulk order take?

4-6 weeks. Transit time is extra and depends on your port.

Which trade terms do you quote?

FOB Colombo; CIF. Freight is quoted per shipment for your quantity and destination.

Which documents come with the shipment?

Every export shipment carries a certificate of origin. Ask the desk which other certificates your country requires.

Can I check quality before a bulk order?

Yes. Start with a sample or trial lot. We can also arrange a pre-shipment inspection or an independent lab test for any order.

How do I pay safely?

First and trial orders of about USD 2,000 to 20,000 can be paid through Escrow.com, which releases the money only after you accept the goods. Larger orders are paid by letter of credit.
