Tees, polos, hoodies, blouses, dresses, handloom and batik. Pick the tile with the three shirts in the builder below, give us the fabric, the weight, the size run and how many per style, and the Trade Desk comes back with a price and a lead time.
Workshops and small factories. The size we place most often, the quickest to get quoted, and where a new label actually starts. Handloom and batik sit here.
The large Sri Lankan groups. They also quote direct. What we add at that size is comparing several of them and holding the schedule, not finding one.
We do not publish a per-piece figure for clothing. The fabric, the weight, the color count and the print method move it too much to quote off a list, and a number we would have to take back is worth less than no number.
1. Choose a product
2. Pack and quantity
Describe it, or name a garment you want it to be like. A photo or a sample beats a description, and you can send one once we reply.
A factory quotes on the smallest run it has to set a machine up for, so the per-colour split moves the price more than the total does. Leave it blank if you have not decided.
What a factory will ask you for
- A sample garment to copy, or a tech pack. If you have neither, send photos and your own measurements and say which garment you want it to fit like. Most small runs start from a sample, not a drawing.
- The fabric in full: fibre, knit or weave, weight in GSM, and whether a colour has to match a Pantone reference.
- Quantity per style AND per colour. A factory quotes on the smallest run it has to set a machine up for, so 1,000 pieces in one colour and 1,000 across five colours are two different prices.
- Artwork at print size, and which method you want: screen, digital, transfer or embroidery.
- Labels and trims: main label, care label, size label, hangtags, and who is supplying them.
- Packing: polybag per piece or not, how cartons are ratio packed, and any barcode or GS1 requirement for your retailer.
- Any compliance requirement you have, for example an audited factory (WRAP, SEDEX, BSCI) or your own code of conduct. Tell us at the start rather than at the end: it narrows which factories can take the order and it changes the price.
- Shipping terms, destination port and the date you need it landed. Lead time on a first run is usually longer than a repeat.
We do not write your tech pack or your measurement chart. We take what you have, put it in front of the right kind of factory, and come back with a price and a lead time.
3. Your brand
See it with your brand
Concept preview, not a print proof. Drag the logo to move it. Your logo stays on your device unless you send the quote request below. The real proof comes from the printer with your firm quote.
4. Where to send the firm quote
Good to know
A sample size of Ceylon cinnamon powder or sticks, from USD 3, checked out by card.
Send print-ready artwork with your GS1 barcode, or tell us you need the layout and we quote it. On clothing that also means the main, care and size labels, and who supplies them.
The number that matters is pieces per style, and then per color. A factory quotes on the smallest run it has to set a machine up for, so 1,000 pieces in one color and 1,000 spread over five are two different prices.
- We do: take your sample garment, or photos and your own measurements, to the right kind of factory, and place an audit requirement (WRAP, SEDEX, BSCI, your own code) if you name it in the brief rather than at the end: it narrows who can take the order and it changes the price.
- We do not: write your tech pack, your measurement chart or your size grading.
Ask for a sample garment before you commit to a run. Expect to pay for the sample and the courier.
Your importer of record confirms what your market requires; we supply the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Food shipped to the US needs FDA Prior Notice, and some countries restrict plant products. Clothing is dutiable in most markets and the rate turns on the fibre and how the garment is made, so check your own tariff line before you fix a retail price. For the UK and the USA you can look up the published rate.
