How to get a price: tell us the quantity, your specification and your destination port. We quote FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF, with lead time and minimum order, and arrange samples before an order.
How batik is made
The design is drawn on the cloth in hot wax. The cloth is dyed, and the waxed areas resist the dye. Wax is added and the cloth is dyed again for each colour, then the wax is removed. Fine lines, called crackle, appear where the wax breaks. Because every piece is made by hand, small differences between pieces are normal and part of the product.
Care and use
Hand-dyed cotton should be washed cool and apart from other items at first. Tell us if your market needs care labels, and in which languages.
Samples and documents
Samples are available before an order, so you can see the colours and finish. Price, minimum order and lead time are confirmed with the quotation. Export documents are arranged with the shipment.
