Description

Green banana flour is made by peeling unripe bananas, drying the slices and milling them to a fine flour. It has a mild, earthy taste and is used in gluten-free and grain-free baking, pancakes, smoothies and as a thickener. Bananas grow all year in Sri Lanka, and local processors dry them for flour, chips and dried fruit.

Gluten-free use

Banana flour is naturally gluten free. If you sell it as gluten free, ask for a gluten test result and confirm the facility’s controls, because flour mills can handle other grains.

Who buys it

Gluten-free and paleo brands, health food wholesalers, bakeries and food manufacturers. It can be packed in 25 kg bags for manufacturers or in retail pouches under your brand, and shipped with other Sri Lankan dried fruit and coconut products.

Private label

Which documents come with the shipment?

Every export shipment carries a certificate of origin. Ask the desk which other certificates your country requires.

Can I check quality before a bulk order?

Yes. Start with a sample or trial lot. We can also arrange a pre-shipment inspection or an independent lab test for any order.

How do I pay safely?

First and trial orders of about USD 2,000 to 20,000 can be paid through Escrow.com, which releases the money only after you accept the goods. Larger orders are paid by letter of credit.
