Description

Sri Lanka has a strong Ayurvedic tradition and a supply chain of growers and collectors who dry roots, barks, leaves, flowers and seeds for herbal makers. Dried medicinal plants exported about US$17 million in 2025. We already list several Sri Lankan botanicals on their own, such as gotu kola, polpala, ranawara and beli mal; this listing covers the wider range on request.

How to order

Send us the botanical (Latin) names, the plant part and the form you need. We confirm which are grown or collected in Sri Lanka, in what volumes, and the price.

Quality and legality

Identity testing confirms the right species, and microbiology, pesticide and heavy metal tests can be run on the lot. Some wild plants are protected in Sri Lanka or under CITES, and we only supply species that can be exported legally. We make no medical claims for any herb.

Herbal and tea brands, supplement makers and Ayurvedic practitioners abroad are the usual buyers.

What to tell us for a quote

  • The product, grade or specification you need, and a reference sample if you have one
  • Quantity per order and how often you buy
  • Pack size, packaging and labelling
  • Destination port and the Incoterm you prefer
  • Documents your market requires, such as a certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate or lab test reports

Packing and shipping

Orders are packed to your instruction and shipped by sea in a full or shared container, or by air for samples and small lots, quoted FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF to your port. Products from several Sri Lankan suppliers can share one container through our consolidation service.

How to get a price: tell us the quantity, your specification and your destination port. We quote FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF, with lead time and minimum order, and arrange samples before an order.
