Moringa (murunga in Sinhala) grows across Sri Lanka’s dry zone and is part of everyday cooking there. Its leaves are dried and cut to a tea grade for infusions, either on their own or blended with ginger, lemongrass or Ceylon cinnamon to round out the grassy taste.

Grades and forms

• Cut leaf for loose tea, sifted to remove stems and dust
• Fine cut for tea bags
• Plain moringa, or blends made to your recipe

Moringa leaf powder for smoothies and capsules is a separate listing on this site.

Quality checks

Dried leaf is checked for moisture, foreign matter and color, and lots for the EU, UK, US or Japan can be tested for microbiology and pesticide residues before shipping. Organic moringa is available from certified growers: tell us which certificate your market needs (EU, USDA or JAS) and we confirm the scope covers moringa leaf.
