It exported about US$561 million of bras and similar garments in 2025, and its factories make lingerie for major international brands. Intimates are technical garments, with moulded cups, underwire, elastics, hooks and lace, and the country’s factories have specialised in them for decades.

Fit and sizing

Bra fit depends on the pattern and grading across band and cup sizes. Factories work from your size chart, or develop one, and fit samples are worn and adjusted before bulk.

How made-to-order works

Sri Lankan garment factories make clothing for many well-known international brands, and they work to the buyer’s design. You send a tech pack, sketches or a reference garment; the factory develops a sample; you approve fit, fabric and finish; and the bulk order is made to the approved sample. Your labels, tags and packing are applied in the factory.

Minimum order per style and colour depends on the factory and the fabric. Larger factories work in thousands of pieces; mid-size factories take smaller runs. We match your order size to a factory that fits it, and confirm minimum, sample cost, lead time and price with the quote.
