Coconut bowls are made from the hard shell left over after the coconut is used for oil, milk and desiccated coconut. Each shell is cut, cleaned, sanded and polished, so no two bowls are exactly alike. Sri Lanka has one of the world’s largest coconut industries, which gives craft makers a steady supply of shells.

Food contact. Natural polished bowls are usually sold for dry and cold foods. If you need food-contact testing for your market (for example EU or US rules on coatings), tell us and we arrange it on the finished goods.
