What changes the price

Note: Ceylon cinnamon is graded by quill thickness. The thinner the quill, the higher the grade and the price, from Alba down through the C, M and H grades to quillings, the broken pieces sold for grinding.
Formular: full 42 inch quills, cut sticks (3, 5 or other lengths) and powder are priced separately.
Quality checks: steam sterilisation and a coumarin test can be added and are quoted on request.
Organic: organic lots are quoted separately. Tell us the certification you need.
Quantity and timing: larger lots price lower per kg, and the price on the day you confirm counts.

MOQ, samples and Incoterms

Mindestbestellmenge: trial lots from 10 kg, up to full containers.
Samples: a 2 oz (60 g) sample is available to buy online before you order bulk.
Incoterms: we quote FOB Colombo by default. CIF or CFR to your port can be quoted on request.
HS-Codes: 0906.11 for whole Ceylon cinnamon, 0906.20 for ground. See Sri Lanka HS codes.

On our listings (checked 30 October 2026), Ceylon cinnamon runs from US$11.75 per kg for quillings up to US$35.75 per kg for Alba quills at 10 kg, FOB Colombo, with lower prices for larger lots. Sri Lanka exported whole cinnamon at an average of US$12.83 per kg across all grades in 2025 (UN Comtrade).

Why is Alba the most expensive grade?

Alba is the thinnest quill. Ceylon cinnamon is graded by quill thickness, and the thinner grades sit at the top of the price range.

Is the price FOB or CIF?

The prices on this page are FOB Colombo. We can quote CIF or CFR to your port on request.
