String hoppers made in Sri Lanka from rice flour, dried so they only need steaming, for grocery and food service buyers.

String hoppers (idiyappam) are one of Sri Lanka’s everyday breakfasts and dinners: fine rice-flour noodles pressed into small rounds and steamed. Making them fresh takes time, so Sri Lankan food makers now press, steam and dry them into ready rounds that only need a few minutes of steaming. This is a different product from the string hopper flour sold on our rice flour listing: here the hoppers are already made.
