Deal directly with a reviewed Sri Lankan exporter on any listing, or ask our Trade Desk to source it for you, and we quote one all-in price with our margin inside it. 1 #### Browse Products and Suppliers Search by product category, keyword, or certification type. Every product listing shows the supplier’s verification status, available grades, certifications, minimum order quantity, and bulk pricing tiers, before you make any contact. 2 #### Request a Quote or Sample Send a bulk inquiry directly to the exporter through the platform. Specify your quantity, destination country, and any certification requirements. Our Trade Desk replies within one business day. Exporters reply on their own timeline, with pricing, lead time and available documentation. 3 #### Review Documentation Before committing to an order, request copies of any required certificates: ISO, Organic, Phytosanitary, Certificate of Origin, or product-specific food safety certifications. All documentation is provided directly by the exporter. 4 #### Place and Pay for Your Order We confirm before you order whether you pay the exporter directly or pay us. Ask us for a delivered price to your nearest port rather than applying a percentage: ocean freight is charged per container or per cubic meter, not as a share of the value of the goods, so the uplift on a low-value bulk cargo and on a high-value one are nothing alike. Cargo insurance, where it is arranged, is priced separately again, on the insured value. 5 #### Coordinate Shipment Your exporter arranges shipment according to the agreed Incoterms (FOB, CFR, CIF or EXW). The platform’s trade support team can assist with logistics coordination, export documentation, and shipment tracking for buyers who need it. ### For Sri Lankan Exporters You make the product. We handle the buyer-facing platform, RFQ routing, and trust infrastructure. Five steps from application to your first paid order. 1 #### Apply Submit your application through the [Vendor Register](/vendor-register/) form. We ask for your business registration, EDB registration number, product categories, and export history. Application takes about 15 minutes. 2 #### Document Review We review your submitted Business Registration and any certifications you list (ISO, Organic, Fairtrade, Halal), an internal marketplace review of vendor-submitted documents, not a government check or EDB endorsement. Review typically takes 2 to 5 business days; approved exporters earn the SLE-Verified Supplier badge. We provide product templates by industry (tea, spices, coconut, textiles, rubber, seafood) so onboarding is quick. 4 #### Receive Enquiries & Bid on Requests Buyers send enquiries on your listings straight to your inbox, with quantity, destination and certifications, and you deal with them directly. On the sourcing-request board you send sealed bids; when yours is chosen, we buy from you and sell on to our buyer. 5 #### Fulfill & Get Paid You agree price and Incoterms directly with the buyer. The buyer pays you directly, or pays us and we pay you monthly for completed orders. We tell you which before the order is confirmed. Buyers pay by wire transfer or Letter of Credit. SriLankaExport.com charges you, the exporter, a 5% fee per completed sale, plus a 2% payout fee when the buyer pays through us. Sri Lankan withholding tax of 5% is also deducted from your payout and remitted to the IRD, with an annual certificate. There are no listing fees, no monthly subscription and no commission on samples.
