### About embossed vinyl flooring

Embossed vinyl flooring has a textured surface pressed into the top layer. The texture can follow the printed design, for example wood grain or stone, which gives a more natural look and feel. A textured surface also tends to hide scuffs and can improve grip compared with a smooth finish.

It is commonly specified by total thickness, wear layer thickness, emboss pattern, size and design.

#### Common uses

- Homes and apartments
- Shops, offices and showrooms
- Hotels and restaurants
- Areas where slip resistance matters

#### Storage and documents

Store rolls or cartons flat, indoors and at room temperature, and let the flooring acclimatize before laying. Buyers usually ask for a technical data sheet, test reports for wear, slip resistance and fire behavior to the standard they buy to (for example EN or ASTM), a certificate of origin and a packing list. Exact thickness, wear layer, size, design, MOQ and price are confirmed on the quote.

#### What to include in a quote request

A clear request usually states the dimensions and thickness needed, the color or design, the standard or test the material must meet, the quantity per shipment and how often, the packing (rolls, cartons or pallets), the destination port and the Incoterm, for example FOB Colombo or CIF. A sample is often requested before a first order to check finish and color.
