Dipped natural rubber insulating gloves for electrical line and utility work, in all six voltage classes, each pair proof-tested.

Sri Lanka is one of the world’s largest makers of dipped rubber gloves, and electrical insulating gloves are among its most technical lines. They are made by dipping formers in natural rubber latex in several layers, then curing and testing every pair at high voltage before it is packed. Utilities, electrical contractors and safety distributors in many countries buy them from Sri Lankan plants.

#### Voltage classes

- Class 00 and Class 0 for low-voltage work up to 500 V and 1,000 V AC
- Class 1 and Class 2 for distribution work up to 7,500 V and 17,000 V
- Class 3 and Class 4 for high-voltage line work up to 26,500 V and 36,000 V

The class is the maximum use voltage. Your safety rules decide which class a task needs, not this listing.

#### Standards and testing

Gloves for the US and Canada are made and tested to ASTM D120; gloves for Europe and most other markets to IEC 60903 (EN 60903). Each pair is proof-tested and carries its class marking, and a test certificate comes with the shipment. Type II compound resists ozone for outdoor work. In use, gloves are worn under leather protectors and are re-tested at intervals set by your national rules, such as every six months under US OSHA 1910.137.
