Ceylon cinnamon H-grade off-cuts. Hamburg is the heaviest of the Ceylon grades, cut from thicker bark, and its off-cuts are a lower-cost form of true Ceylon cinnamon for processing. The species is the same Cinnamomum verum; the difference is bark thickness and finish, neither of which survives grinding.

Specified for grinding into powder, oleoresin and essential-oil extraction, spice blending and industrial food manufacturing.
