Sri Lanka exported about US$145 million of sweatshirts, hoodies and knit pullovers in 2025. Knit factories make fleece and French terry garments for streetwear labels, sports brands and retailers.

#### Decoration

Screen printing, embroidery, puff print and garment dyeing can be done locally. Fabric weight is usually stated in GSM, and heavyweight streetwear hoodies often use 400 GSM or more. Tell us the weight you want and it is confirmed on the sample.

#### How made-to-order works

Sri Lankan garment factories make clothing for many well-known international brands, and they work to the buyer’s design. You send a tech pack, sketches or a reference garment; the factory develops a sample; you approve fit, fabric and finish; and the bulk order is made to the approved sample. Your labels, tags and packing are applied in the factory.

Minimum order per style and colour depends on the factory and the fabric. Larger factories work in thousands of pieces; mid-size factories take smaller runs. We match your order size to a factory that fits it, and confirm minimum, sample cost, lead time and price with the quote.
