Description
Key attributes
Sri Lanka is one of the only commercial sources of vein graphite, also called lump or Ceylon graphite. It forms in veins rather than flakes and naturally reaches high carbon content, which is why it is used in carbon brushes, batteries, lubricants, refractories and friction materials.
What to include in your request
- Form: lump, chips or a size range in millimetres
- Fixed carbon percentage you need (for example 95%, 97%, 99%)
- Moisture, ash and sulphur limits
- Packing, quantity per shipment and destination port
Price depends mainly on carbon content and size. Each lot can be tested by an independent laboratory before shipment.
How to get a price: tell us the quantity, your specification and your destination port. We quote FOB Colombo, CFR or CIF, with lead time and minimum order, and arrange samples before an order.
Uses by grade
Higher carbon grades are used where conductivity matters, such as carbon brushes and battery materials. Lower grades go into refractories, lubricants and friction materials, where size and purity limits are less strict.
Samples and documents
Samples are sent before an order. Export documents are arranged with the shipment.
