Description
Key attributes
Green tea stone-ground to a fine powder, whisked rather than steeped, so the whole leaf is consumed. Grown and milled in Sri Lanka rather than imported and repacked.
How to buy: order a 60 g sample online to judge the grade in your own hands. For bulk, request a quote with your grade, quantity and destination; we confirm a firm price, packing, lead time and validity in writing.
Grades and uses
Matcha is usually sold in two broad grades. A drinking grade is used for tea served on its own, where colour, smoothness and a mild taste matter most. A culinary grade has a stronger taste and is used in lattes, baking, ice cream and other food products. Colour is a quick guide: a brighter green usually points to a finer drinking grade.

Buying questions
Which documents come with the shipment?
Every export shipment carries a certificate of origin. Ask the desk which other certificates your country requires.
Can I check quality before a bulk order?
Yes. Start with a sample or trial lot. We can also arrange a pre-shipment inspection or an independent lab test for any order.
How do I pay safely?
First and trial orders of about USD 2,000 to 20,000 can be paid through Escrow.com, which releases the money only after you accept the goods. Larger orders are paid by letter of credit.
