Description
Key attributes
Whole-leaf orthodox grade. The leaf is long and wiry, a little bolder than Orange Pekoe, and gives a clean, light-to-medium liquor that carries its own character without milk. High grown and low grown both available; packed 25 to 28 kg net per bag.
How to buy: order a 60 g sample online to judge the grade in your own hands. For bulk, request a quote with your grade, quantity and destination; we confirm a firm price, packing, lead time and validity in writing.
About OPA
OPA is a leaf grade, larger in the leaf than broken grades such as BOP and BOPF. Because the leaf is whole, it brews more slowly and suits loose leaf tea, specialty blends and larger tea bags, not fast-brewing standard bags. High grown OPA tends to give a lighter, brighter cup. Low grown OPA gives a darker leaf and a fuller liquor.
