#### Choosing a format

- 5 kg blocks: the most economical to ship. Soak in water and they expand to many times their volume.
- 650 g discs: sized for retail and home growers.
- Grow bags and slabs: ready for greenhouse and hydroponic lines.
- Loose bulk: for blending into your own growing mix.

#### Buffered or unbuffered

Coco peat naturally holds potassium and sodium. Buffering treats it so it does not take calcium and magnesium from your nutrient feed. Most hydroponic and greenhouse growers ask for buffered, washed, low-EC material.
